Trident offers hands-on internships for undergraduate students with an interest in non-profit management and sports based youth programs.
We don't have formal "departments" at Trident, so our interns participate in a wide range of tasks - ranging from publicity and marketing to fundraising and event planning. Given the nature of non-profit management, a significant portion of the internship is spent dealing with the nuts-and-bolts, nitty-gritty details and administrative aspects of running a small business. For example, interns might be expected to register large batches of swimmers into our Content-Management-System or administering surveys at our programs. Primary responsibilities for this internship include ensuring students are registered correctly and prepared for swim meets and academic enrichment activities; writing original content for our website; photographing at our programs; drawing up social media campaigns optimized for multiple platforms (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook) as needed; and general tasks. Ideal candidates are self-starters who can work independently and collaboratively; have excellent writing and communication skills; are creative thinkers; and have a strong enthusiasm for making a meaningful contribution in the lives of our young participants. As an intern, you will serve as a positive role model who will help our swimmers on their journey to becoming better students and faster swimmers. All interns are must undergo a background check. Once your background check is cleared, a staff-member will introduce you at our program and we will walk you through how we work with our participants. If you would like to become an intern at Trident, please send a resume and brief cover letter outlining your interest in our internship program to Kristin Gary at [email protected]. IMPORTANT: when applying, please indicate which season you'd like to be considered for, and which specific weekdays you can commit to working from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. |
