Trident Swim Foundation appearing on NBC's Today Show, June 10
June 2008 — As part of its coverage of diversity in swimming, the Today Show is featuring the Trident Swim Foundation at approximately 9:30am Eastern
on Tuesday, June 10, 2008. Some of our swimmers are also invited to be in the water, live, in a pool in Rockefeller Center getting instruction from Olympic hopefuls!

Donor's List Posted
May 2008 — As the school year winds down and fundraising for the 2008-2009 academic year begins, the Foundation has posted a
list of the most generous donors, without which the program could never have gotten off the ground. Their generous donations made the hiring of the coaches and
tutors possible and will allow us to continue the swim program through the summer months.

First Swimmer Scholar Program Launched at George Washington Educational Campus
January 2008 — With the hiring of head coach Jill Myers and assistant coach Rob Garcia (also a teacher at GW) the Foundation's first swimmer scholar
program began operating when students returned to school after the winter holiday break. Over 50 swimmers scholars have signed up for the program and will
be attending afterschool tutoring and swim sessions from 4pm-7pm each day.

Board of Directors Approves Foundation Plans
August 22, 2007 — The Board of Directors met on August 20, 2007 to review the Executive Committee's plans for tutoring and mentoring recruitment,
George Washington High School administration and staff partnerships, and the final budget. All plans were approved and final
preparations were begun by the Executive Committee.
